PLATFORMS
PLATFORMS has transformed a formerly vacant, disused lot and turned it into a vibrant, community-oriented open-air performance and exhibition venue!
I created the concept, oversaw design, construction and programming.
POLKADOT PROJECT
Inspired by Yayoi Kusama, I executed a temporary community-wide, free-for-all polkadot installation on one on the city's main streets. The idea was to activate the space, involve community and inspire bigger-thinking about art and the community's relationship to it. Over 4 hours, we had several thousand dots placed by several hundred passersby, as well as a popup performance by our local ballet troupe.
SPARKBLOX
SparkBlox is a proposed Creative Incubator ‘container park’ featuring micro retail, culinary, co-working and art spaces (plus broadcast/production studio), to be located on the site of a former transient motel. This project will be a local, creative industry -focused, mixed-use development with year-round, community-centric activation(s). SparkBlox is designed to increase economic vitality, encourage tourism, and expand social and creative networking within the Creative District and beyond. Ask me MORE.

NEW VISIONS OF THE WEST
While our beloved landscape features prominently, New Visions of the West considers it in the context of more contemporary narratives - ecology, racial stereotypes - rendering the familiar and iconic in poignant, amusing, and perhaps unsettling ways. MORE

MATRIX: EVOLUTIONS
#5womenartists created works based on the “matrix” of chain link fence. One PLATFORM was reserved for area residents to create their own work using plastic cups, and the other was interactive with Molly Morin’s work. The Public PLATFORM was reset each Monday. MORE
AFTER WORK WEDNESDAYS
A series of art salons combining local literary, performing artists and musicians, curated to complement the respective exhibitions.
THERMAN STATOM | Artist-In-Residence
NATIONAL LIBERTY MUSEUM
Workshops with elementary school children (left) and museum stakeholders/donors (right). This was a model for an outreach program into public schools.
I originated concept with artist, handled logistics, and collaborated with the museum’s Education Department to produce. Glass boxes painted by children were assembled into a larger artwork, to be displayed at a supporting partner’s headquarters.
The donor event was identical to childrens’ workshop, to illustrate exactly how their donations would be used, and proved very successful.

ARTLOFT PA
Co-produced a series of art salons combining visual, literary, performing arts and music.
COLLABORATIONS
UNTAMED POPS
Presented in July 2021, Untamed POPS! was intended not only to broaden the cultural offerings in Ogden City, but to help build organizational capacity for our partner, Chamber Orchestra Ogden by expanding its audience/base.
I collaborated with COO on musical selections with broader appeal across multiple market segments, added commissioned dance and music and a visual art element. I also led ticketing and bi-lingual marketing efforts; overall we increased attendance by 300% over the 2019 presentation, with nearly 70% of attendees enjoying their first COO performance.

Through my grant writing efforts, funding was secured to pay 70+ artists and performers in 2021, with additional commitments for 2022 already secured.

X-hibition - Ogden,UT
In collaboration with and honor of inaugural TEDx-Ogden, I conceived of and curated X-hibition, an exhibit of multi-disciplinary works by 8 local artists.

The ‘x” in TEDx signifies a locally-organized event, but an X can signify so much more, all of which apply to Ogden, its history and its people: Indication of choice, as on a ballot ...an unknown quantity or a variable...Power, magnification, leverage...a symbol of a kiss...a crossroad or junction...Experimental...Extra...Extraordinary...Map key symbol for a mountain...The union of two things...X marks the spot on a map, as in treasure
MOMENTS
I worked with Ogden City employees and independent curators to produce MOMENTS, a one-night experimental art event showcasing performative, ephemeral, temporary, sound and light-based art. MOMENTS reinforced and elevated Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll with work from more than 60 artists and performers: video projections, dance, music, temporary installations, light-based sculpture, participatory art projects, and MORE
FOCUS FEST
I originated and functioned as lead organizer on a city-wide celebration of the recorded image across 14 different venues. MORE
GUERRILLA TRUCK FAIR
Through Whitespace Contemporary, I organized this one-day arts event in concert with our local arts festival. More than 20 local independent artists created temporary exhibitions using moving trucks as gallery spaces.
